Canadian Senior Men's 15's Road Trip

On November 6, Canada and Italy will meet head on in L'Aquila, Italy. It marks the next meeting of the two teams after their Rugby World Cup game back in 2003 when Italy took a lead over Canada and ended up victorious 19-14. Currently, Italy is ranked 11th in the world standings, whereas Canada stands at 13th. However, this is only the tip of the iceberg for Canada. They will, only a week later, face the legendary English team at the Twickenham Rugby Club on Saturday, November 13th.

Not only will those two Tests be difficult, but there is another motivation behind winning against the English team. Custom House Global Foreign Exchange, a new sponsor of Rugby Canada, will write a check worth $100,000 CDN to the Canadian team if they defeat the English team on the 13th.

Team Canada's current record is 2-2 this year, and Italy's is also 2-2. These teams are well matched, with Italy captained by Marco Bortolami and Canada co-captained by Mike Tkachuk and Mark Lawson.
